Savannah Children's Museum will host a 10th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 10 am to 12 pm. The event will take place at 655 Louisville Rd., Savannah, GA 31401. Museum educators will be celebrating with birthday crafts and activities throughout the day with treats at 11:30am.
Savannah Children’s Museum was unveiled in 2012 as an adaptive reuse project in the old Central of Georgia Railway Carpentry Shop in downtown Savannah. The entirely outdoor museum features over a dozen programs and exhibits designed to expand the imaginations of children, including an Exploration Maze, a Reading Nook and a Sensory Garden.
Savannah Children's Museum provides so many creative outlets for children,” says CHS Education Specialist Elisabeth Chappell, “by combining the beauty of nature with the imaginations of children. It is an ideal space for children to learn through play by allowing kids to explore their own interests in a natural setting, helping to combat nature-deficit disorder.”
