This is the second annual Gullah Geechee Scholars Presentation funded by Quarterman-Keller Foundation. Scholarship applications are available every Spring from which two scholars are selected to engage in Gullah Geechee focused research the following academic year and present their findings in the Spring Semester. Selected scholars center their research within their major discipline and are mentored through the process with faculty from their respective majors. Javanna Rogers (Theatre) will share her research on Gullah Geechee Depictions in the Media and Zanai Worthy (Public Health) will present her research on Gullah Geechee Health Matters. The campus community is invited to support these scholars in this exciting presentation of their scholarly endeavors.
