Disney Summer Classics: The Princess Diaries

  • Lucas Theatre for the Arts 32 Abercorn Street Savannah, GA 31401 (map)

Bright and creative teen Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway) is nobody's idea of high school royalty — that is, until she receives the shocking news she is, in fact, royalty. Mia learns she is the princess of the small European country of Genovia, beginning her hilarious transformation to heiress, led by her grandmother Queen Clarisse (Julie Andrews). Join Mia as she goes from awkward teen to poised princess, choosing between the life she knows or taking her rightful place as heir to the throne. Beloved by audiences for its iconic soundtrack, highly quotable lines, and big heart, this family comedy from the mind of Garry Marshall was a crowning achievement in Disney's live-action repertoire.

Tickets for the film are $5 for SCAD Card holders, students, seniors, and military, and $8 for the general public. Children ages 12 and under receive free admission.
