March 13: Mix it up at the Moon featuring Jameson Irish Whiskey
Plant Riverside District's Electric Moon Skytop Lounge offers monthly interactive mixology classes as part of the Mix It Up at the Moon series. Featuring master mixologists and brand ambassadors from around the globe, Mix It Up at the Moon showcases a rotating series of experts throughout the year. At each event, guests learn how to make two signature cocktails and enjoy signature dishes from Electric Moon's culinary team. Jameson Irish Whiskey is a blended Irish Whiskey. First, the distillery takes the best of pot still and fine grain whiskeys. Then they triple distill them- not because they have to but because they want to as it gives it its signature smoothness. Finally, they age them in oak casks for a minimum of 4 years. It’s where they recommend starting your whiskey journey. How to drink it? Any way you like but we will bring new ways to you during this fun evening. Just add mates and widen the circle. Triple distilled, twice as smooth, one of a kind. Two highlighted Jameson Irish Whiskey Cocktails will be "Just a Splash of Cran" with Jameson, Angostura Bitter, Cinnamon Syrup, Lemon Juice and Lemon and "Irish 43" with Jameson, Liquor 43, Irish Cream, garnished with shaved chocolate. Accompanying these delicious cocktails will be a menu offering of "Shepherd’s Pie" and "Short Rib Guinness Roast" prepared by the Electric Moon culinary team under the direction of Chef Gonzalo. Tickets are available online at www.plantriverside.com.
