Celebrate Flannery O'Connor's 99th birthday with an afternoon full of literature, live music, games, and of course, plenty of birthday cake!

This event is held in conjunction with Local Author Day, sponsored by The Book Lady Bookstore. Forty local and regional authors will be on-hand, and you are invited to stroll around the book tables and meet some wonderful poets, children’s book authors, and fiction and nonfiction writers.

Hear live music by the Sweet Thunder Band!
Participate in improv opera with Moon River Opera!
Browse a popup art show by Panhandle Slim!
Create Flannery-inspired crafts!

Attendees are also invited to dress up as Flannery to compete in a Flannery look-alike contest!

The event is free and open to the public.
