HSF is pleased to welcome Lucy Brannen and Catharine Varnedoe as our March lecture speakers, discussing "The Seven Ladies Who Changed History" on Thursday, March 20 at 6:00 pm.
Lucy and Catharine are the grandchildren of Lucy Barrow McIntire, one of the Seven Ladies who saved The Davenport House and spearheaded the preservation movement in Savannah. Together they are leading the charge to erect a erect a permanent monument to the Seven Ladies in Columbia Square in the fall of 2025 in honor of HSF's 70th anniversary.
They will be discussing the monument, the legacy of the Seven Ladies, and the early days of Historic Savannah Foundation.
This event is free for HSF members and $15 for non-members. Members may RSVP by emailing kgraham@myhsf.org and non-members can purchase their tickets at www.myhsf.org/events/lecture-series/.
The lecture will take place at HSF headquarters located at 321 E. York Street. Doors will open at 5:30 pm for a wine reception, with the discussion starting at 6:00 pm.
