  • Trustees Theater 216 East Broughton Street Savannah, GA, 31401 United States (map)

The Thomas Edison Film Festival returns to Trustees Theater with a mesmerizing collection of short films for its 45th anniversary edition. Formerly known as the Black Maria Film Festival, this event has advanced the unique creativity and power of the short-film format by promoting innovation and advocating for independent filmmakers through a juried international competition that celebrates all genres and hybrids from filmmakers around the world. This year, viewers will enjoy a specially curated selection of winning and bold contemporary works including three films from SCAD students and alumni, who will also join for virtual filmmaker Q&A.

Tickets are free for SCAD Card holders; $5 for students, seniors, and military; and $8 for the general public.
