We celebrated Saint Patrick and now it’s time to celebrate Flannery O’Connor on March 29th in Lafayette Square!

The Flannery O’Connor Childhood Home is proud to present Flannery O’Connor’s 101st Birthday Party in conjunction with the Book Lady Bookstore’s LOCAL AUTHOR DAY.

This free and family friendly celebration will feature:
- 40+ local authors and their books
- Panhandle Slim art pop-up sale
- Vintage Vortex apparel pop-up sale
- Leopold’s ice cream cart
- Crafts from the Childhood Home & Starlandia
- Rubber chicken corn hole lawn game
- Specialty raffles benefitting the Childhood Home
- Legacy Irish Dance at 1pm
- Flannery look-alike contest at 2pm
- Sweet Thunder Band at 2:40pm

Please come dressed as Flannery O’Connor (1920s-60s attire) or shop Vintage Vortex’s pop-up shop to compete in our look-alike contest at 2pm. The winner will get to blow out the candles on Flannery’s birthday cake!

We can’t wait to kick off Flannery’s 101st year with you!
