Summer STEAM Wednesdays with Chatham County Extension 4-H at the STEAM Center at Savannah Children’s Museum
Chatham County Extension 4-H will host a special series of hands-on STEAM programs at the new indoor STEAM Center classroom at Savannah Children’s Museum.
Designed for students ages 10-12, with older youth welcome, these interactive sessions explore science, nature, genetics, conservation, and environmental education through engaging activities and discovery-based learning.

Wednesday, June 17 | 1–2PM
Inherited Traits : Students will learn about acquired and inherited traits and explore simple genetic tools, including Punnett squares.

Pollinators: Students will discover the importance of pollinators in our environment and ways we can help protect them.

Plant Identification: Students will learn how to identify plants using characteristics such as leaf type and flower structure.

Endangered Animals and Habitats: Students will explore endangered species native to Georgia and learn how conservation efforts can help protect them.

The Incredible Journey: Students will learn about the water cycle, watersheds, and the movement of water through the environment.
