In honor of the Mighty Wurlitzer's return to the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, visitors can explore the theater's storied past as they listen to the sounds of the organ and enjoy the SCAD-produced silent short film "At Long Last." This two-hour Guided Wine Tasting experience is meant to be a fun and educational introduction to tasting wine. As with everything at 208, our focus is more on the enjoyment than the memorization of facts!

During the tasting you will experience seven wines from around the world, five of which are analyzed during the class. Gabriel Donohue – An Irish-born multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter based in Philadelphia. Gabriel dazzles with his mastery of guitar and piano, while also bringing a rich tapestry of sounds from bouzouki and mandolin to Irish and exotic percussion.

Vonnie Quinn, widely recognized as a Bloomberg TV anchor, has deep musical roots in Limerick. She studied violin at the Limerick School of Music and performed with the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland. Vonnie brings her exciting and talented fiddle playing to the stage!

RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY at Wexford, Savannah’s Irish Pub

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Friday, August 9th at 11 am, with special guests, friends, local Savannah dignitaries, and members of our Irish community. Afterward, join us for lunch and enjoy a perfectly poured pint of Guinness. The festivities will continue with live music from Galway-born Gabriel Donohue and fiddle player Vonnie Quinn on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Make your way down Tybrisa St to the Tybee Pier & Pavilion and get ready for some good ole’ fashion, ROCK & ROLL - LIVE!!

This event will be offered for only the evening of August 3rd!!

The Tybee Pier & Pavilion’s resident establishment, The Riptide Bar, will be remaining open for the duration of the event!
