Where: Savannah, GA
The Savannah Black Heritage Festival (SBHF) is one of the many ethnic cultural arts events sponsored annually by the City of Savannah’s (GA) Department of Cultural Resources. The focus of the festival is to present performances, exhibits and activities that attract a broad cross-section of age, socio-economic and ethnically diverse residents in Savannah and its outlying areas as well as visiting tourists.
This year’s Black Heritage Festival theme is Celebrating Culture, Celebrating Heritage, Celebrating You. These three words represent the history of African Americans as they marched from enslavement to freedom to contributors. Since this trek has been long and arduous, what has been accomplished embodies reformation that upon reflection is cause to rejoice this cultural event!
