The Isle of Hope Art & Music Festival has 90 artists and makers stationed from the IOH Marina & Pavilion down Rose Avenue, Bluff Drive and into Paxton Park. Local musicians perform at the festival and food trucks are located throughout. This is a rain or shine event, and admission is free to the public. Proceeds are donated to Isle of Hope Historical Association which is dedicated to collecting and presenting the island’s history, building community spirit, and spearheading the initiative to preserve the historic character of the Bluff.

It's that time of year again! Georgia State Railroad Museum and Savannah Children's Museum will transform into a magical Harry Potter-themed experience during “Frogwarts” on Sunday, October 15, from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Children and their grown-ups will be immersed in STEAM activities, such as chemistry, engineering, biology, and art, all disguised as magical classes inspired by the beloved book series. Various activities will be led by community partners, including Lowcountry Turners, Callaway Critters, Georgia Southern Center for Wildlife Education, Memorial Health Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children's Hospital, and Live Oak Public Libraries.

Welcome to a Gordonston tradition, the hosting of juried local and regional artists and artisans in the beautiful setting of Juliette Gordon Low Park in Savannah’s historic Gordonston neighborhood. In addition to fine art and crafts for sale, the art fair will also host a gently used book sale and a plant sale with all proceeds going towards the restoration of the cottage. There will also be live music, food trucks and a children’s hands-on crafts area.

Come to our FREE reception and celebrate with artist Robert Morris. Robert's art exhibition, "Outward Bound," opens on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 at 5:30pm and Ships of the Sea is delighted to host an evening of art and cheer. Entry is free and there is a cash bar available.

"Outward Bound" is organized by well-known artist, Katherine Sandoz, who is serving as guest curator at Ships of the Sea for the exhibition.

Robert Morris recently retired from 20 years of service as the Chief Communications Officer for the Georgia Ports Authority. In this new chapter of life, Robert paints about what he knows: the intersection of life, art, and commerce along the Savannah River.

On Saturday, October 7, Plant Riverside District will host the 2023 Savannah Wiener Dog Races, organized by Savannah’s Waterfront. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with races starting at 11 a.m. in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park. Race heats are open to Dachshunds as well as “Almost Wiener Dogs,” with proceeds benefiting Savannah’s Waterfront.

Apart from the fastest run awards in all categories and weights, there will be exciting contests such as best dressed dog, best-dressed dog owner, and more. Entry cost is $25.00. Registration/check in will open at 9:00am, races begin at 11:00am. The grand prize winner will receive a special trophy as well as a $100 credit for Yappy Hour at Electric Moon. Enjoy an evening of auteur short film with the highly-anticipated new release of Pedro Almodóvar's 'Strange Way of Life' starring Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke, accompanied by Almodóvar's Tilda Swinton-starring 'The Human Voice' and other surprises. The Spanish master's vibrant take on the macho western genre, 'Strange Way of Life' follows two former hired gunmen who reunite many years later. His English-language debut, 'The Human Voice,' is a stylish and riveting drama that finds a jilted lover and her restless dog watching time pass in the wake of the breakup.

Celebrate 45 creative years of SCAD by looking back on milestone films from its first year, 1978 - 1979. Just in time for spooky season, experience the indestructible Michael Myers' (as well as Jamie Lee Curtis') big screen debut in this ultimate Halloween classic. With it's chilling mise-en-scene and haunting score, mastermind John Carpenter crafts a perfect slasher film that changed the face of the genre forever and even after all these years remains a cut above the rest. Featuring an introduction and discussion by SCAD professor Michael Chaney.

Fall weather is in the air and live music is coming back to the Park! We're excited to kickoff the new season with a Riverfront Concert Series show featuring Savannah standouts Lyn Avenue and Willie Jackson & the Tybee Blues Band!

Some local-favorite food trucks will be on hand too with Bowtie Barbecue and C. Alexanders serving up tasty treats all night!
Beverages will be available for purchase at Squirrel's Eastern Wharf and Bar by Fleeting.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. There is street parking on site as well as parking in the Eastern Wharf garage for $2 per hour.
