The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra and Savannah’s Lighted Boat Parade will headline this year’s Holiday Kickoff Event at Eastern Wharf from 5-9 p.m. on Saturday, November 29th, 2025 at The Park at Eastern Wharf.

The free, family-friendly event will commence with the opening of Santa’s Grotto at Eastern Wharf, where the intimate “Daymark Lawn” will be transformed into a magical open-air space decked out in festive and fun holiday decor, twinkling lights and a lighted Christmas tree. Attendees can take FREE photos with Santa using their own cameras or phones from 5-7 p.m..

The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra will perform throughout the evening with their signature “Savannah Sound” heavily influenced by their Louisiana roots. Expect Holiday Cheer, Beatles to Broadway, Motown, Gospel, and Great American Songbook presented with unique big band soul.

The parade, historically held on Thanksgiving weekend, marks the beginning of the holiday season in Savannah. Participating boats, adorned with holiday lights and decorations, are led by the Georgia Queen Riverboat, and begin and end their voyage at the dock at Eastern Wharf. The Park serves as the parade’s headquarters and staging area where MC’s, dignitaries and a panel of judges welcome participants and judge the boats along the extended Savannah Riverwalk. Meet at Colonial Monument Gardens inside Historic Bonaventure Cemetery. **Follow the Blue Event Signs.**

No ticket needed for this specific free tour series, donations are greatly appreciated.

There is no cost for parking in Bonaventure.

Bonaventure Historical Society offers free guided tours on the first full weekend of every month. Our tours begin at 2 PM on both Saturday and Sunday at the Colonial Monument Garden inside Bonaventure Cemetery. These walking tours take about an hour and are hosted by trained BHS tour guides.

There is a limit of 30 visitors per guide. If more people show up, we divide those in attendance into smaller groups.

Tours are rain or shine, only canceled if storming.

The Davenport House Museum is proud to present its second annual Fall Arts Festival, a vibrant celebration of Savannah’s creative community. This free, family-friendly event will bring together artists, artisans, musicians, and community members across Historic Savannah Foundation’s campus.

Festival highlights include an artisan vendor fair, hands-on art activities led by local artists, and a collaborative community art project that invites all ages to contribute to a shared work of art. Visitors can enjoy live music from local musicians, delicious food, and a chance to relax on the picnic lawn in the museum’s garden.

In addition, the Davenport House Museum will be open for exploration, with special opportunities to engage in interactive activities that connect the house’s history with Savannah’s thriving arts community.

The festival will extend across the Davenport House Museum, the Historic Kennedy Pharmacy, the museum gardens, and—new this year—Columbia Square, creating a lively atmosphere that blends art, history, and community spirit.

The Fall Arts Festival highlights the enduring role of artisans in Savannah, beginning with the craftspeople of the 1820s and continuing through to today’s thriving creative community. See Skidaway Island from a new perspective as you circumnavigate the island by boat. Led by marine educators, this excursion highlights both the natural beauty and the rich human history of our coast. Get a glimpse of our salt marshes and maritime forest habitats, with the chance to spot iconic wildlife like bald eagles. You’ll also learn about the human history of Skidaway Island, from its early indigenous inhabitants, the Guale people, to its present-day residents, including the researchers and educators on UGA’s Skidaway Marine Science Campus.
